Countdown to May 21st 2011

After countless doomsday "prophecies" have come and gone, we again come to what may be the most expensive and most popular one. Mr Harold Camping of family radio, a not for profit Christian radio show states that his 50 years of math calculating has stated that this Saturday May 21st 2011 is the date we will all be judged by God.
I have come to conclusion that this is the most popular of all dates because of the curse and helpfulness of the internet. Research shows that Mr. Camping made a prediction in 1992, by writing a book. I was 12 in 1992. I was not aware of his 1992 prediction about 1994 being the end of the world. I did although know that Skynet came online around 1997 via the Terminator movies. I knew about the Terminator not via the internet, but via the TV. Family radio used the internet for it's progression and in turn, we now all know about this May 21st 2011.
I first found out about May 21st via a sticker on an apartment door when I used to patrol as a housing police officer a few years back. I saw the sticker plastered on this apartment door on the 3rd floor. It intrigued me to check it out towards the end of my duties as an officer with the department. I was floored with all the advertising. Now with the date closing upon us, it is everywhere. Billboards, TV, radio, nightly news. You name it.

If there was no internet, this day would come and pass and Mr. Camping would not even be famous.

New horror company offers reality for Zombie fans

From Chuck Kopalski - HNN

Horror fans who want to feel the true meaning of being a zombie now have the option....without the gore, mess, and absolute death.

Zombified Inc has released to the press this week that they have come up with a safe and effective way to allow a human to become a zombie simply by going through a few tests and taking a pill, a pill that alters the mind but is safe and has no side effects. Once a customer passes a 5 step medical process and signs necessary paperwork, the customer is put into a controlled environment and let loose. The controlled environment is a fully equipped "virtual reality" without the wires and the screens. The customer has the "supposed" feelings of being dead, lifeless and hungry for flesh. Customers become animated much like we see in the scores of zombie movies released throughout the years. The controlled environment is city oriented, a small square mile block almost identical to Times Square in NYC.
The price tag of $530 includes all tests, a half hour of being "zombified" and paramedics are on scene.
When questioned if this was safe, Peter Toolsly, CEO of ZInc responded with;
"We have gone through all necessary steps with the US Government and all safety inspections have been passed. If you want the true feeling of how it is to be the walking undead, come to ZInc and you won't be disappointed"

If you have anxiety, do not watch this movie. (But you should anyway!!!)

This movie kept me very interested. So interested that the last hour of the movie my heart was racing, wondering exactly what was going to happen. This is a must see, if you have 2 hours and 15 minutes of your time! Russel Crowe does it again!

4 out of 5 stars in my book!

Thought this was a great message from God......

Review of the movie Unknown, starring Liam Neeson

I decided to hit the local movie theater on 3/18/11 for a night out, which I rarely get to do with work, band, shooting, ect already on my plate. I took a drive with Joey Br00tal of Ruthless Dudes to see the screening.

I have always been a Liam Neeson fan since I can remember, especially from Star Wars. I enjoyed the majority of his films, and this one was not so bad.

SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT

So the movie starts out with a couple going on a trip to Berlin Germany for business purposes, Dr Martin Harris and his wife attending an international Biotech summit. Very soon into the movie Dr Martin Harris loses his briefcase at the airport. When realizing at the hotel that he had lost it, he hails a cab, driven by Gina (Diane Kruger). They get into a car accident where she saves his life, and she flees the scene.

He awakens out of a coma, in a hospital, with a loss of memory. He has no identification, and wanders the streets of Berlin looking for his past.

Okay, we will fast forward to the spoiler / ending. Turns out the chap is a trained assassin (I was able to figure this out towards the middle of the flick) and his "wife" is really a counterpart of the operation. He kills the bad guys (ie his creators) and gets his "identity" back and everything goes back to normal, he sticks with Gina (Diane Kruger) and they go off on their next adventure.

Out of 5 stars I will give this one *** 1/2. I was able to figure out the plot and I was not surprised. Good camera work though, some decent mystery, and some good suspense makes this a "Go see it on a week night with a cheap date" or "wait for DVD"

Joey Br00tal gave it a "ah, ya know, it was okay, I kinda liked it" review.

Please welcome Ruthless Dudes to the local scene

Ruthless Dudes is a band from Staten Island NY featuring band members from other past bands such as Impartial Dismemberment, Dreams Forever Drowning, Grounds For War, Born Ready, The Return Of and The Broken, to name a few.
